Training and Seminar on Information Security to be held at IOE, Pulchowk campus on 24th and 25th February

Locus 2012 is organizing a 2-day training and seminar on Information security at Institute of Engineering, Pulchowk campus. The event to be held on 24th and 25th February 2012 will feature a training and demonstration on Information security on the first day with seminar being held on the second day. The free event have been targeted primary to students of Information and Communication Technology (ICT).

Talking training on first day will be conducted by certified ethical instructor Mr. Gandip Khaling. He will be training on Basics of ISMS, need and background on ISMS, hacking technique, vulnerabilities of Hacking and so on.

The seminar on second day will feature some renowned ICT professionals from governmental as well as other sectors Nepal. Dr.Tek Bahadur Ghimire, Deputy Government Attorney at Government of Nepal will be talking on Competent Regulatory Mechanism for Information Security. Other topics for discussion will be “Log Management for Network Security & Compliance”, “Cyber Crime, Present Practices in Nepal” and “Digital Certificate and Electronic Transaction Act”.

The entry to the training and seminar has been made Free. However there is a hidden charge for those who want to get certificates on 2nd day. The event will be held on Library Hall of IOE, Pulchowk campus from 10 AM to 5 PM on both days.
