Kathmandu. The main road linking Kathmandu to Kathmandu has been obstructed at Krishnabhir along the Nagdhunga-Muglin section, but there will be no shortage of supply of essential goods in the Kathmandu Valley. <\/p>\n
According to the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies, there will be no immediate shortage of essential commodities as there is sufficient food stock in the market. The ministry has said that arrangements have been made to supply food items through alternative roads in the Kathmandu Valley. <\/p>\n
Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has said that the supply of petroleum products and LP gas will continue through alternative routes. According to the corporation, petrol, diesel and other petroleum products can be brought to Kathmandu from Amlekhgunj depot as sufficient fuel is coming through the pipeline. Similarly, alternative arrangements have been made for the supply of LP gas for cooking. Various alternative routes have been used for the goods. <\/p>\n
Arrangements have been made to use the alternative road towards Pharping for large vehicles and small vehicles and microbuses. Work is also underway to connect Benighat via Gorkha district headquarters and Bunkot-Namjung-Ghairung-Durbung-Siurenitar for vehicles coming to Kathmandu from western Nepal. <\/p>\n
Another option is the route to Benighat via Gorkha-Namjung-Bunkotghat. This route will be especially useful for vehicles commuting to and from Pokhara, Gorkha and Kathmandu from the west.
