Kathmandu. The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has called for an all-party meeting. The meeting will be held at 2 pm at the office of the parliamentary party of the RSP, Singha Durbar. <\/p>\n
The Rastriya Janajatantra Party (RSP) has held a discussion to advance the process of forming a high-level all-party mechanism for disaster management, reconstruction and risk reduction. <\/p>\n
The all-party meeting held immediately after the unexpected and devastating floods and landslides in the Bhotekoshi River had passed a 10-point common resolution on sustainable solution to the disaster and preparedness in Nepal. <\/p>\n
According to point number 10 of the same resolution, the disaster management should not be limited to immediate relief and response but should seek long-term solution. <\/p>\n
According to the RSP, an agreement was reached to form a ‘parliamentary committee’ or a high-level all-party mechanism for the post-disaster reconstruction, climate adaptation, timely improvement in the national disaster policy and continuous consultation, assistance and monitoring of the government’s performances. <\/p>\n
The RSP has called an all-party meeting to discuss the issue of forwarding the process of forming a mechanism as soon as possible. <\/p>\n
