Today is being observed as Genji Martyrs&#8217; Day. <\/p>\n<p>The government has declared a public holiday on September 23 to mark the Genji Martyrs&#8217; Day. <\/p>\n<p>The meeting of the Council of Ministers held on September 1 had decided to give a public holiday throughout the country in memory of the youths who lost their lives in course of the agitation. <\/p>\n<p>The Jenji movement on September 23 had caused political upheaval in the country and many Genji youths had lost their lives. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kathmandu.
