The Hunga (Hungku) river has been blocked due to a landslide at Gudel in Mahakulung Rural Municipality of Solukhumbu. A dam about 15 meters high was formed due to the landslide in the river and the landslide is still continuing. <\/p>\n<p>Quoting the District Administration Office, Solukhumbu, the Flood Forecasting Division under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology issued a notice about the risks. <\/p>\n<p>There is a risk that the dam built after the river is blocked due to landslides can burst at any time. Due to this, there is a great risk of flooding in and around the banks of the Hunga (Hungku) river and the Dudhkoshi river. <\/p>\n<p>The Division has specially requested the residents of Hunga Khola and Dudhkoshi river banks to adopt high alertness and stay in safe places until further notice.
