Kathmandu. As many as 1,386 bodies have been recovered till 8 am on Sunday due to the devastating floods in Bhotekoshi of Rasuwa. <\/p>\n
A total of 1,386 dead bodies were recovered in 1,386 people including 185 in Rasuwa, 199 in Nuwakot, 71 in Dhading, 364 in Chitwan, 77 in Gorkha, 38 in Tanahun, 230 in Nawalparasi East and 222 in Nawalparasi West. <\/p>\n
So far, 1,230 bodies have been managed (preserved under the soil) after completing the necessary procedures. A total of 3,132 DNA samples, including 1,286 of the deceased and 1,846 of the relatives, have been collected for the identification of the bodies. <\/p>\n
The details of 1,354 unidentified bodies have also been uploaded on the Nepal Police website. <\/p>\n
So far, 7,975 police personnel have been deployed in the flood-affected areas for rescue, search, relief distribution, dead body management and other works. Search is underway for 4,089 people who have gone missing so far. <\/p>\n
