Kathmandu. It has been three weeks since the devastating flood in the Trishuli River via Bhotekoshi in Rasuwa. <\/p>\n
So far, 1,395 bodies have been recovered and 5,130 people are missing. According to the latest data released by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority, the highest number of 364 bodies have been found in Chitwan. <\/p>\n
Similarly, 232 in Nawalparasi East, 222 in Nawalparasi West, 202 in Nuwakot, 186 in Rasuwa, 77 in Gorkha, 72 in Dhading and 38 in Tanahun. Two died in course of treatment in Kathmandu. <\/p>\n
Of the bodies found, 104 have been identified. The NRA has said that it has started the process of DNA testing to identify the rest. <\/p>\n
A total of 13,737 people have been rescued after the floods. Among the rescued people, 1,499 are in Nuwakot, 825 in Rasuwa and 94 in Dhading. <\/p>\n
Similarly, 341 people were treated at 19 different hospitals and 278 were discharged after treatment. <\/p>\n
Security agencies, municipalities and various government and non-government sectors are working to search for the uncontacted, rescue and treat the injured and manage relief.
