According to the Argentine Football Association (AFA), Argentina will play friendlies against Bolivia on September 30, Burkina Faso on October 3 and Benin on October 6. Messi, Rodrigo de Paul and Giovani Lo Celso will participate in the match on October 6. <\/p>\n
Messi, who made his debut for the national team in 2005, is the highest player and goal scorer for Argentina. He has scored 203 goals in 203 matches for the team. <\/p>\n
Messi led Argentina to victory in the 2021 Copa America, the 2022 World Cup and the 2024 Copa America. He scored two goals against France in the final of the Qatar World Cup. <\/p>\n
Messi, who played in six World Cups from 2006 to 2026, has scored 21 goals in 34 matches in the World Cup. In the 2026 World Cup, he scored eight goals and four assists. The 39-year-old Messi will continue to play club football even though he is away from international football.
