Kathmandu. The Supreme Court has ordered the US President Donald Trump not to implement the fee of one lakh US dollars on new H-1B visas. <\/p>\n
Judge Haywood Gilliam of the U.S. District Court in Oakland, California, said the government had not completed the rulemaking process before implementing the tariffs until a final ruling. <\/p>\n
Previously, a federal court in Boston temporarily stayed the fee in a lawsuit filed by 20 states. The H-1B visa is a program used by American employers to employ foreign workers with special skills. This visa has been widely used, especially in the technology sector. <\/p>\n
The Trump administration raised the tariffs to protect American workers and prevent misuse of the H-1B program.
