KATHMANDU: The price of gold has fallen sharply in the Nepali market after the Dashain festival. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of gold has decreased by Rs 11,700 per tola to Rs 2,78,500 per tola. Earlier, the price of gold was Rs 2,90,200 per tola. <\/p>\n
With this fall in the price of gold, there is some relief for the consumers who are preparing to buy gold jewelry for weddings and other auspicious occasions. Especially in November, families preparing for marriage have to spend less money on buying gold than before. However, the market conditions will determine how the price of gold will fluctuate in the coming days. <\/p>\n
Similarly, the price of silver has also fallen. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Association, the price of silver has decreased by Rs 230 per tola to Rs 3,955. Earlier, the price of silver was Rs 4,185 per tola. <\/p>\n
With the opening of the market after the Dashain holidays, the fall in the price of gold and silver has increased the interest in the precious metal business.
