Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Police have arrested five persons including four women on the charge of cheating people on the pretext of sending them abroad for foreign employment on the pretext of lucrative salary. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The arrestees have been identified as Bina Maharjan, 43, and Binda Maharjan, 45, of Kirtipur Municipality-2, Kathmandu, Kopila Sharma, 43, of Kathekhola Rural Municipality-2, Baglung, currently residing in Chandragiri, Dhankuta Municipality-2, Santosh Rai, 31, of Dhankuta Municipality-26, and Kumari Tamang, 48, of Kavre, Chorideurali Municipality-9, currently residing in Budhanilkantha, Kathmandu.TAG_OPEN_p_32 <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

According to the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, they have been out of contact after extorting Rs 370,TAG_OPEN_p_31 000 to Rs 13.60 lakh from the victims on the pretext of sending them to the US, UK, Cambodia and Portugal. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
