The Election Commission (EC) has recommended a three-day holiday on the government for holding the March 4 elections. <\/p>\n<p>Acting Chief Election Commissioner Ram Prasad Bhandari said that the government has recommended a holiday on March 3, 24 and 22 for the participation of all voters. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We have recommended the government to declare a public holiday on March 4, 22 and 7. It is up to the government to approve it,&#8221; Bhandari said. <\/p>\n<p>If the government approves the holiday as per the recommendation of the commission, then there will be a public holiday for 7 consecutive days. The two-day Holi festival is observed on March 2 and 19, the election from March 20 to 21 and International Women&#8217;s Day on Saturday and Sunday respectively.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kathmandu.
