KATHMANDU \u2014 Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has re-adjusted the price of petroleum products in the international market. The corporation has said that the price of crude oil has been increasing due to the ongoing war in the Middle East. <\/p>\n<p>According to the NOC, the corporation has incurred huge loss as it could not adjust the new purchase price received from the Indian Oil Corporation as per the automatic price system. As per the current situation, there is a loss of around Rs 47 per litre on petrol, Rs 133 per litre on diesel and Rs 400 per cylinder on LP gas. The corporation has stated that it will incur a loss of more than Rs 13 billion on a fortnightly basis if the price adjustment is not made. <\/p>\n<p>The price of petrol, diesel and kerosene has been increased by Rs 15 per litre as per the decision of the Board of Directors on April 2. <\/p>\n<p>As per the new rate, the price of petrol in Kathmandu, Pokhara and Dipayal will be Rs 202 per litre while diesel and kerosene will cost Rs 182 per litre. The price has been adjusted in the same proportion in other categories as well. <\/p>\n<p>Even after the price hike, the corporation will continue to incur losses. As per the revised rate, the price of petrol is estimated to be around Rs 34 per litre, diesel by Rs 120 per cylinder and LPG by Rs 400 per cylinder. According to this, the corporation is still facing a loss of more than Rs 11 billion on a fortnightly basis. <\/p>\n<p>Stating that there may be problems in supply management, the corporation has urged the consumers to use fuel sparingly, saying there is pressure to pay on time. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kathmandu.
