Dol Prasad Aryal (DP) of Rastriya Swatantra Party has been elected Speaker of the House of Representatives unopposed. <\/p>\n<p>Senior-most member Arjun Narsingh KC, who is presiding over the meeting of the House of Representatives, announced Aryal as the speaker. <\/p>\n<p>Rabi Lamichhane, a member of the House of Representatives, who is also the president of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, had proposed Aryal for the post of Speaker of the House of Representatives. <\/p>\n<p>Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Sobita Gautam and Finance Minister Dr. Similarly, Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Sunil Lamsal had seconded the proposal. <\/p>\n<p>Aryal was directly elected from Kathmandu-9 as the founder of Rastriya Swatantra Party.
