Kathmandu. Chairperson of Labour and Culture Party Harka Sampang Rai has expressed his concern over the depiction of Ruby Kumari Thakur as ‘sister’ in the House of Representatives. <\/p>\n
Speaking at a meeting of the House of Representatives on Friday, he demanded that the word ‘sister’ be scrapped. <\/p>\n
“We’re all honorable here,” he said. I heard the former speakers address our honorable Ruby Kumari Thakur as ‘sister’. That word should be scrapped. Here, one should not speak with the words ‘sister, granddaughter, grandfather’. It should be addressed as honorable. \u2019<\/p>\n
He also said that responsible behavior is more important than blame and counter-accusation in the parliament. <\/p>\n
Expressing dissatisfaction over the opinion expressed by RPP that the RPP had betrayed the RSP by promising its support, he said it was not appropriate to lament who had made the call and who had held the finger. <\/p>\n
He said, “What the general public might have said when we were elected, it is competition. But now I don’t think the dignity of the parliament is more than that. No one has to teach anyone here. We have that much understanding. Therefore, it does not seem appropriate to lament who called, who held the finger. But we have come as honorable.
