Life has become difficult in the squatters&#8217; settlement on the banks of the Manohara River after the monsoon. The daily life of the locals has been thrown into disarray after the settlements were inundated due to incessant rains. <\/p>\n<p>Many families have been displaced and food, clothes and other necessities have been damaged after the floods entered their houses, according to locals. Children and elderly people have been most affected. <\/p>\n<p>According to the locals, the problem of inundation is repeated every year with the onset of monsoon. They complain that the problem is getting worse due to lack of proper outlet and management. <\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has stepped up rescue and relief operations in the affected areas.
