Kathmandu. Main opposition Nepali Congress parliamentary party leader Bhishma Raj Angdembe has inspected the under-construction bridges under the Tamor Corridor road section. <\/p>\n
During the inspection, it was found that the construction of the bridge was progressing at a sluggish pace even though the road has been blacktopped, he expressed dissatisfaction with the construction company. <\/p>\n
Stating that the problem of obstruction of vehicular movement due to floods has been repeating during the rainy season, he directed to expedite the construction work. <\/p>\n
Leader Angdembe said, “I am going to take initiative for the budget, but the work has to be completed quickly.” \u2019<\/p>\n
The Tamor Corridor is considered as the ‘lifeline road’ which is an important road connecting the eastern hills with the Terai. <\/p>\n
However, vehicular movement has been affected every year during the rainy season due to delay in the construction of bridges over Lakhuwa, Nawakhola, Raguwa and Chharuwa rivulets. Locals have complained that the risk of drowning of vehicles increases when the water level in the river rises. <\/p>\n
Showing seriousness towards the problems facing the people for years, leader Angdembe has warned the representatives of the company responsible for the construction of the bridge not to delay in the work. <\/p>\n
