Kathmandu. President Ram Chandra Poudel has said artists, creativity and culture are the treasures of the nation. Addressing the Natikaji National Music Award and Award Distribution Ceremony-2083 BS here today, he said art, literature and music are the elements that bind us all. <\/p>\n
President Poudel said that art, literature and music would contribute to the development of unity, tolerance and prosperity in the society. <\/p>\n
President Poudel said that the power of music is immense and it is also the basis of common language, property and national identity. “Literature, art, song and music are the basis for strengthening national unity by promoting mutual love, friendship and brotherhood in a country marked by multi-ethnic, multi-lingual, multi-cultural and unique geographical diversities,” he said. \u2019<\/p>\n
Stating that maintaining a balance of tradition and modernity was equally important in the development of Nepali music, he said that creating new ones through modern technology and new use while preserving the traditional tune, rhythm and style was both a challenge and opportunity for today’s composers. <\/p>\n
President Poudel said that the state should not be stingy in honouring the writers who are involved in the field of music and songs and have the capability to express various aspects of human emotions. <\/p>\n
“Therefore, the government and concerned sides should always support for the respect of the creators, preservation of culture and development of music,” he said. \u2019<\/p>\n
He said that the contribution of Nati Kaji in the creation of modern music following Nepali folk language is exemplary. <\/p>\n
He said, “The consciousness, love, patriotism and human sensitivity in Nati Kaji’s creations have always made him immortal among Nepali music lovers.” Especially, his patriotic and timeless songs have deepened his love for the motherland and enhanced the glory of Nepali music. \u2019<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
