Kathmandu. The Parsa District Court has ordered the release of Birgunj Metropolitan City Mayor Rajesh Man Singh on bail in 2 cases. <\/p>\n
A single bench of District Court Judge Gayatri Prasad Regmi today issued the order to release the mayor on bail of Rs 4 lakh, according to Prabhakar Kumar Mallik, registrar of the court. He said that the court has also ordered to release Rs 15,000 on bail for the offence of obtaining citizenship by submitting false details. <\/p>\n
The District Police Office, Parsa, arrested Birgunj Metropolitan City Mayor Singh and presented him before the Parsa District Court. A special team of Parsa Police had arrested Mayor Singh on Monday after 10 days of the arrest warrant issued by the Parsa District Court. <\/p>\n
It has been alleged that Mayor Singh has forged the signature of someone else’s daughter and forged her birth certificate, citizenship and passport. <\/p>\n
