Kathmandu. Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed to have attacked 21 US air and naval bases. Regional tensions have escalated after the US military attacked Iranian targets. <\/p>\n
According to Iranian media ISNA, the IRGC also claimed to have targeted the hangars of US F-35 fighter jets. The US command and control center al-Azraq in Jordan was destroyed and the Mufaq Salti air base was also attacked. <\/p>\n
The IRGC said a drone attack targeted the headquarters of the US Fifth Naval Fleet in Bahrain. The attack was in response to a US strike in southern Iran. <\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Iranian state media quoted local sources as saying that US military bases in Kuwait and Bahrain were also targeted again. However, there is no independent verification of these claims. <\/p>\n
Earlier, the U.S. Central Command said it had launched a “self-defensive military operation” against Iran after the downing of a US Apache helicopter in the Strait of Hormuz. U.S. President Donald Trump has also said that the U.S. will respond to Iran’s downed Apache helicopter. Both the pilots of the helicopter are safe. <\/p>\n
Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has warned the US to withdraw from the Persian Gulf region and said that any attack or threat against Iran will be retaliated against. “Iran’s armed forces are fully prepared to face any challenge,” he said. <\/p>\n
