Kathmandu. U.S. President Donald Trump has said he has signed an agreement to end the war in Iran and the details will be released soon. <\/p>\n
Speaking with French President Emmanuel Macron on the sidelines of the G-7 summit, Trump said he was “very happy” to announce that the agreement had been signed. Senior U.S. officials have begun to disclose the details of the agreement. <\/p>\n
The Strait of Hormuz will reopen on the same day the agreement was officially signed in Geneva on Friday. Technical talks on Iran’s nuclear program will also begin this week. U.S. officials have said that sanctions on Iran and the release of its assets will depend on its commitment to comply with the agreement. <\/p>\n
U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance said that the draft of the deal with Iran is one and a half pages long. “Iran is committed to regional peace and stability,” Vance said in a statement. He said that Iran is going to make an official commitment not to develop nuclear weapons. <\/p>\n
Under the agreement, the two sides will maintain the ceasefire for another 60 days. In the meantime, the remaining issues of the agreement will be finalized.
