Kathmandu. The stock market fell for the fifth consecutive trading day. On the last trading day of the week, the NEPSE index decreased by 2 points to close at 2,649.51 points. <\/p>\n
On Friday, the NEPSE index was at 2,702 points. Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) had decreased by 1.46 points on Monday, 26.16 points on Tuesday, 14.45 points on Wednesday and 8.50 points on Thursday. <\/p>\n
The indices of all the groups except hotel and tourism, hydropower, mutual fund, non-life insurance and business have decreased. Shares of 170 companies fell today and 85 advanced. Similarly, shares of 20 companies have remained unchanged. <\/p>\n
Today, the shares of Kalika Laghubitta have fallen by more than 10.5 percent. Shares of Snow Rivers, Taksar Pikhuwa Khola Hydropower and Yambling Hydropower Ltd surged by 15 per cent on the day. <\/p>\n
Although the NEPSE index decreased today, the transaction amount increased. A total of 7.727 million units of shares of 359 companies were traded for Rs 3.94 billion today compared to Rs 2.83 billion yesterday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
