Kathmandu. Youths close to the CPN-UML have started a poll with 18 questions from July 28 to 22 as part of the Renaissance Campaign for Party Reorganization and Transformation. The campaign will collect opinion of party cadres and well-wishers on the party’s future direction, leadership handover, organizational restructuring, generational transition and internal democratization. <\/p>\n
The collected recommendations will be forwarded to the task force led by party vice-chairman Ram Bahadur Thapa and the results of the survey will be made public. <\/p>\n
Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Youths close to the CPN-UML who are in favour of party restructuring and transformation have started a poll survey as part of the ‘Renaissance Campaign-2082’ for party transformation and restructuring. <\/p>\n
According to them, the campaign that started from June 25 will continue for 10 days. For this, 18 different questions have been asked openly through Google Form. Organized members, supporters, well-wishers and independent citizens living in and outside the country can give their suggestions through this form. <\/p>\n
The main objective of the campaign is to collect the views of party cadres and well-wishers on the party’s future direction, leadership handover, organizational restructuring, generational transfer and internal democratization, said campaign leader Gajendra Thapaliya. <\/p>\n
According to Thapaliya, the suggestions of the participants in the survey conducted through Google Form will be kept confidential and the findings will be formally submitted to the party. <\/p>\n
The task force led by UML Vice-Chairman Ram Bahadur Thapa has been reaching various provinces to collect suggestions regarding the election review and party restructuring. Gajendra Thapaliya, coordinator of the Renaissance Campaign for Transformation and Restructuring of the UML, who is also the chairman of the Intellectual Council close to the UML, said that the campaign has to be taken to understand the views of the lower level cadres, supporters and well-wishers and leaders and cadres of other parties. <\/p>\n
According to Thapaliya, the aim is to reach out to all the UML supporters at home and abroad to collect their views as the party has not taken direct suggestions from the party cadres and well-wishers at a time when the party has been advancing the debate on restructuring and transformation. According to him, the suggestions collected will be submitted to the task force led by Vice-Chairman Ram Bahadur Thapa Badal. <\/p>\n
“The damage being done to the communist movement in Nepal can be stopped only by transforming, handing over and transferring the UML at present, otherwise the communist movement will sink to the ground and will never rise in Nepal in the future,” reads the top of the survey form, “As a result, the movement and dream of Nepal’s nationality and prosperity will be shattered there.” Therefore, we are conducting this survey as a campaign to get your views on this important campaign and look forward to your valuable suggestions in this campaign. \u2019<\/p>\n
“Your views and opinions will be kept confidential in accordance with the confidentiality principles of the survey,” the statement reads. <\/p>\n
Prior to this, the same group had conducted a poll on issues including 70 years of age and two terms before the UML’s statute convention. The survey was sealed and submitted to the party leadership.
