Kathmandu. Nepal Insurance Authority (NEA) has appealed to the general public to lodge complaints if they face any problem in determining the liability of insurance and paying the claim. <\/p>\n
The authority has been receiving various complaints regarding the violation of the existing laws, regulatory provisions and professional code of conduct by some insurers, employees and surveyors of the insurers. Keeping this in mind, the NRA has issued a public notice to submit a complaint with evidence for action. <\/p>\n
According to the NRA, a complaint can be made if any insurer, employee of the insurer, insurance surveyor or any other party is found harassing them, preparing false details or concealing the facts. <\/p>\n
Similarly, the authority has stated that action will be forwarded as per the Insurance Act, 2079 against the person involved in such acts if they have distorted the facts, made a biased assessment, taken undue advantage or committed any other act against the law. <\/p>\n
When submitting a complaint, the concerned person should include various required details. It should include the name, address and contact number of the complainant, the name of the concerned insurance company and the details of the problem. In addition, you will need a claim number and insurance policy number and documents, photos, videos, or other evidence to support the claim. <\/p>\n
Provision has been made for the general public to submit complaints through various means. For this, the complaints can be filed by physically at the registration branch of the central office of Nepal Insurance Authority, Kupandole, Lalitpur. Similarly, the email address is Sly2L. <\/p>\n
