Kathmandu. KATHMANDU \u2014 Prime Minister Balendra Shah has directed the authorities concerned to expedite a plan to establish well-equipped burn treatment centres in all seven provinces. <\/p>\n
During a meeting with the Vice-Chancellor of the Academy of Health Sciences at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers on Monday, Prime Minister Balen directed to forward necessary plan for strengthening burn wards in major government hospitals. <\/p>\n
He suggested the federal, province government and the health institutions concerned to ensure timely quality treatment for the patients suffering from severe burns. <\/p>\n
Stating that quality, effective and citizen-friendly health service was in the top priority of the government, the Prime Minister drew attention to the effective enforcement of good governance and sanitation in the hospital, improvement in service delivery, use of digital technology and good governance. <\/p>\n
The Prime Minister directed the government to effectively implement the provision of providing subsidized 10 per cent OPD service to the private hospitals to expand access of indigent, helpless and economically weaker citizens to health services. <\/p>\n
Suggesting that other institutions should also make the best and good practices developed by a health institution as a medium of learning and share it, he said initiatives would be taken to resolve the issue of encroachment of KAHS’s land as per the law. <\/p>\n
On the occasion, the VCs presented suggestions on improving the quality of medical education, improvement in health service delivery, sanitation of hospitals, expansion of specialist health services, management of skilled health human resources, promotion of research and infrastructure development. <\/p>\n
They apprised the PM about the digital transformation in health service, effective implementation of hospital information management system and the impact on institutional development due to encroachment of land of some enterprises. <\/p>\n
