Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Department of Land Management and Archive has started field monitoring of companies, industries, establishments, projects and organizations that have purchased or owned land beyond the limit with the approval of the Government of Nepal. <\/p>\n
The Department has sent a letter to the Land Administration (Land Revenue) offices in 40 districts across the country asking them to carry out on-site inspections to find out whether the agencies concerned have been using the land as per the approved purpose. The Department has said that it has again directed the monitoring and inspection committee to submit the report after studying the ground situation by deputing it in the field as the details were not received from most of the offices despite asking for the report time and again before. <\/p>\n
According to the Land Act, regular monitoring of industries, companies, educational institutions and other institutions approved by the Government of Nepal is required to keep land beyond the ceiling. As per the Act, the government should submit a report to the Department within two months of the end of each fiscal year after inspecting the actual use of the land in coordination with the local level. <\/p>\n
The Department has also directed the offices concerned to complete the monitoring without any delay and to submit a report with clear details whether the land was used as per the approved purpose. The monitoring is expected to reveal the real condition of the land that has been used against the approved purpose or is lying unused.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
