Prabhu Bank&#8217;s Chief Business Officer (CBO) Rashmi Pant has been arrested in connection with a banking fraud case. He was arrested by the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB). <\/p>\n<p>CIB chief AIG Uma Prasad Chaturvedi said that he was arrested on the charge of irregularities in loan disbursement. He has been remanded in custody to the Kathmandu District Court. <\/p>\n<p>Rupandehi-based Asian Village Resort Pvt Ltd is to be investigated into the alleged irregularities in the loan disbursed to him. The company&#8217;s chairman Shashidhar Sharma Poudel is in CIB custody in course of the investigation. <\/p>\n<p>Prabhu Bank had given a loan of Rs 48 crore to the company. According to CIB sources, the irregularities came to light after a special on-site inspection prepared by the Supervision Department of Nepal Rastra Bank in June 2083.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kathmandu.
