Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Labour and Culture Party has expressed its concern over the country’s security, nationality and the working style of the government. Speaking at the meeting of the House of Representatives on Tuesday, lawmaker Harka Raj Rai said the existence of any army other than Nepal Army would not be acceptable in the country. <\/p>\n
Lawmaker Rai expressed his concern over the practice of forming army in different names and the government holding talks with them. Referring to the Hindu Samrat Army, which came into the limelight in the context of Sunsari and Madhes incidents, he said, “There is only one army in Nepal, that is the Nepal Army. Who allowed the army to be formed in these places? The government should not hold talks with such groups, but should ban them. \u2019<\/p>\n
Lawmaker Rai told the parliament that a group had tried to stop him from going to Janakpur on July 19, 2083 and his colleagues were beaten up. “A lawmaker doesn’t have the right to move freely in his own country? <\/p>\n
Lawmaker Rai expressed his displeasure over Prime Minister Balendra Shah’s statement in the parliament that Nepal has also encroached on Indian territory, but it has not been removed from parliamentary records. “Does the Prime Minister still feel that Nepal has encroached on Indian territory? <\/p>\n
