Kathmandu. Ramechhap police have arrested a person for spreading misinformation in the name of Prime Minister Natural Disaster Relief Fund, which was established for the relief and rescue of the devastating flood victims. <\/p>\n

According to the District Police Office, Ramechhap, Karki had posted on social media that he had donated Rs 1.20 lakh to the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund. However, during the investigation, it was revealed that he did not contribute the amount and prepared a fake transaction statement of e-Sewa using artificial intelligence. <\/p>\n
According to the police, he was running a fraudulent business by putting the fake statement along with his personal password code on social media and asking other people to help him. The police arrested him after people thought that they had sent money to the relief fund and there was a risk of sending money to his personal account. <\/p>\n
