Kathmandu. The stock market rose by double digits on the first trading day of the week. The stock market index Nepse rose by 18.07 points to close at 2,560.84 points today. The NEPSE index rose for the fourth consecutive trading day.
The non-life insurance group has increased by more than 2 percent while the sub-indices of all the sub-indices except finance and business have increased by more than 2 percent.
Today, the shares of 195 companies have increased and 79 have fallen. However, the shares of 4 companies have not fluctuated.
Shares of Pure Energy rose 15 percent today. Overall, shares of Emerging Nepal, Sindhu Bikas Bank and Janaki Finance fell by 15 percent on the day.
Today, the transaction amount has also increased along with the NEPSE. On Thursday, 92.98 lakh shares of 352 companies were traded for Rs 3.83 billion.
