16 families rescued from Hanumante river

Kathmandu. As many as 16 families have been rescued from Srijana Tole in Lokanthali after the Hanumante River crossed the surface.

According to the District Police, the families have been taken to a safe place in view of the possibility of water entering the low-lying areas of Madhyapur Thimi Municipality-1, Lokanthali. So far, the water has not entered the human settlement.

However, the police said that the rescue was carried out keeping in mind the possible risk due to the increasing pressure of water.
