Pulses worth Rs 7.64 billion imported through Birgunj in six months

. Seven types of pulses worth Rs 7.64 billion were imported through Birgunj Customs Office in the first six months of the current fiscal year.

Udaya Singh Bista, information officer at the Birgunj Customs Office, said that the import of pulses has increased by 31 percent in the current fiscal year compared to the same period of the last fiscal year.TAG_OPEN_p_3 In the first six months of the last fiscal year, imports of seven types of pulses amounted to Rs 5.83 billion.

Lentils worth Rs TAG_OPEN_p_2 3.82 billion, beans worth Rs 1.17 billion, gram worth Rs 1.14 billion, legumes worth Rs 1 billion, lentils worth Rs 270 million, peas worth Rs 16 million and buckwheat worth Rs 51 million were imported in the first six months of the current fiscal year.
