. Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) leader Dev Gurung has said that he would bring a manifesto to make it production-oriented and free from war economy for the upcoming elections.
Speaking at a program organized by the Association of Economic Journalists of Nepal (NAFIJ) here today, Gurung said that the country’s economy was in a serious crisis and that good governance would be the first agenda to improve it.TAG_OPEN_p_7 He also stressed on production-oriented economy, self-reliance, promotion of cooperatives and public sector, employment-oriented economy and market expansion of agricultural products.
Gurung said that the manifesto will also include implementing a game changer project by giving priority to big industries and ensuring the quality of social services.TAG_OPEN_p_6 He also said that inclusive and environment-friendly economy, development of digital economy and implementation oriented programs will be included.
Stating that the world economy was moving towards war economy and Nepal’s situation was affected by it, Gurung said, “We will bring a declaration to free Nepal from war economy.”TAG_OPEN_p_5
He also said that the constitution is not fully implemented at present, there is an independent government in the name of Jenji, and there are doubts about the impartiality of the election.TAG_OPEN_p_4
