Kathmandu. CPN-UML Vice-Chairman Prithvi Subba Gurung has said that the recent election results could create problems in the country.

Reacting to his defeat in the House of Representatives election from Lamjung on Saturday, he said, “I think they will get two-thirds majority. This could be a problem for our country. ’

He suggested that the votes received should be addressed in a sensible manner. “Their commitment to constitution amendment is necessary. “Are they trying to scrap federalism or what is their view on inclusive electoral system?” he asked. ’

Gurung said that the voters voted only in the name of a new candidate and not for the agenda of the election this time. “Every election has its own agenda. Our party has its views on nationality, development, good governance and constitution,” he said, adding, “But the issue of addressing people’s problems was never raised in this election.” There was no discussion on what is the agenda of development and good governance. It’s not enough to just say it’s new. ’

He stressed that decision on constitution implementation and national issues should be taken only on the basis of consensus among all parties.
