Speaker swearing-in at President’s Office (seven photos)

Kathmandu. The newly-elected Speaker of the House of Representatives took oath of office and secrecy at the Office of the President today.

Speaking at a special function organized before the President, the Speaker pledged to discharge his responsibility in a sincere manner as per the constitution. The swearing-in ceremony was attended by high-ranking government officials, leaders of political parties and VIPs.

After the swearing-in ceremony, the Speaker pledged to work with the goal of making the parliament effective, dignified and people-oriented.
