Kathmandu. Rastriya Swatantra Party lawmaker Ashika Tamang drew the attention of the government towards the slow and poor management of Nagdhunga-Muglin road section, demanding accountability of the responsible bodies with the government.
Speaking at the meeting of the House of Representatives on Tuesday, lawmaker Tamang stressed the need for a clear action plan to complete the road construction on time. She said that the people were facing problems on a daily basis due to delay and lack of coordination.
“Despite the Nagdhunga-Muglin road section being the major lifeline linking the national capital, the delay in construction works, poor management and lack of coordination have caused problems to the people on a daily basis,” she said. I strongly urge the government to ensure a clear action plan to complete the works on time, strict monitoring and accountability of the responsible bodies. ’
Likewise, the unsystematic and uncontrolled excavation of rivers including the Trisuli River has disturbed the environmental balance and has directly affected the local people.
