Kathmandu. CPN-UML lawmaker Ain Mahar has expressed dissatisfaction over the structure and management of the new parliament building.
Speaking at a meeting of the House of Representatives on Wednesday, Mahar said the incumbent government was trying to dismantle most of the programmes, structures and practices of the erstwhile government. In the meantime, it has been decided to bring the parliament building into operation, he said, adding that it is positive that the budget will be presented from the new building.
“Most of the programmes, structures and practices of the erstwhile government are being dismantled and dismantled by the incumbent Prime Minister Balen Shah.
But the irony is that it has decided to run the Parliament House. It was decided to keep it. I was also very happy to hear that a new budget will be brought from this new Parliament building. ’
He, however, said that it was necessary to operate and manage the parliament building properly as per its long-term importance.
Lawmaker Mahar questioned the structure of the House of Representatives and commented that the lawmakers did not come to watch a movie. He alleged that the seats in the hall were made like movie theaters and the tables were made like classrooms.
He said, “There is a need to run this building of long-term importance in a proper way and manage it in the right way.” This is the hall of the House of Representatives. The MPs have not come to see the film.
The seats are made like a movie theater, the tables are made like classrooms. It’s not like a hall, it’s like a movie theater. ’
He said that the structure of the Parliament House looks more like a movie hall than a hall and drew the attention of the government.
