List of directors of troubled cooperatives made public

Kathmandu. The Office of the Troubled Cooperative Management Committee has made public the available list of directors of various cooperatives declared problematic. The details of the directors of the cooperatives have been made public as per the decision of the committee dated May 22, 2083.

In the notice made public by the office, the concerned party has been urged to contact the office if there is any difference in the details or if there is a need to update it. It has also requested the office to inform the office if it is found that the directors who have been made public have embezzled the savings or property of the cooperatives and hid the property in the name of their family, relatives or other individuals.

The committee has also urged the operators of the troubled cooperatives to help in the settlement of liabilities, recovery of loans and identification and management of assets. Otherwise, action will be initiated as per the prevailing law.

The details made public include names, addresses and family details of chairperson, vice-chairperson, secretary, treasurer and board members of the cooperatives.
