‘Changed Congress’ forgets its own foundation day

Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC) has forgotten its 80th establishment day today. Due to the election preparations, the party has not organized any special program to mark the establishment day this year.

President Gagan Thapa was busy in his own constituency Sarlahi while other leaders were also focused on his constituency. Earlier, the NC had been organizing various programmes in central and district districts on the occasion of its establishment day.

In a circular sent to the presidents of all 77 districts, General Secretary Gururaj Ghimire and Pradip Poudel have only directed on the election campaign agenda;TAG_OPEN_p_4 There is no mention of the foundation day.

According to NC spokesperson Devraj Chalise, “Due to election preparations and programs, there was confusion to celebrate the foundation day separately.TAG_OPEN_p_3 ”
