NCP vows to provide employment to 5 lakh people every year

KATHMANDU: The ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has made public a commitment letter for the upcoming elections to the House of Representatives, 2082, focusing on economic reforms, good governance and employment. Party coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ made public the commitment letter amidst a programme organized at the party office in Parisdanda today.

The party aims to achieve more than 10 per cent economic growth, create 500,000 jobs per year and turn 100,TAG_OPEN_p_3 000 returnee youths into entrepreneurs in the next five years. It has also pledged to form a high-level property investigation commission with a one-year deadline to investigate the assets of all those holding public office.

} The manifesto has put forward the policy of transforming the country from import-consumption-oriented economy to production-oriented, self-reliant and inclusive model. The NCP has claimed that the government will build a prosperous Nepal through the new phase of economic reforms prioritizing education, health, entrepreneurship, social justice and political stability.
