Kathmandu. The CPN (Maoist) has objected to the parade of the US Army at Tundikhel on the occasion of Nepal Army Day.

Issuing a press release today, General Secretary Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’ said, “Organizing the military parade without knowledge of the political parties and the public is a serious game against national sovereignty and independence. The statement said,

“It is a deadly act to hold and play a military parade in such a mysterious manner at a time when there is an ongoing controversy about US intervention. We strongly condemn both sides. ”

The Maoists have demanded the government to make its views on the incident public at the earliest. At the same time, the country’s independence is under threat, calling for readiness for resistance as needed.
