Home Minister Sudan Gurung is said to have taken land on lease within Fewa Lake criteria (seven photos)

Kathmandu. Pokhara—Home Minister Sudan Gurung is said to have leased land at Simle area of Pokhara Metropolitan City-22 at a time when Fewa Lake conservation campaign is underway. The structure constructed on the land is found to be lying idle at present.

The structure is locked and covered with bushes all around. According to local sources, the land falls within the criteria of Fewa Lake, where a boundary pillar recently erected by Pokhara Metropolitan City has also been found.

Meanwhile, the metropolis had operated bulldozers since Saturday morning as part of a campaign to remove huts constructed near Fewa Lake. Home Minister Gurung, however, has claimed that he has been cheated and will seek legal remedy.
