Ashiman Singh ousted from Pathao Nepal leadership

Kathmandu. Pathao Nepal’s Managing Director Ashimman Singh Basnyat has stepped down from the company’s leadership. The company has confirmed that he has stepped down from the leadership in a farewell message.

Singh, who joined Nepal in 2018 and has been leading Pathao since its inception, has been instrumental in bringing about a significant change in the country’s mobility sector. His leadership is pivotal in the expansion and popularity of ride÷sharing service in Nepal.

Pathao said Singh’s contribution to making the company an established brand by “turning a seemingly impossible idea into action” has been remarkable. The company describes him as not just a business builder but a personality who has fostered a culture of innovation, trust, and entrepreneurship in Nepal’s startup ecosystem.

Under his leadership, Pathao has rapidly increased the demand for ride-hailing service in Nepal, setting new benchmarks for ride-hailing service. Singh has also been active in public life in recent years. He had contested the House of Representatives election from Kathmandu-1 as an independent candidate.

The company wished him all the best for the future and said that his contribution will be remembered as the foundation of the organization.
