‘We have asked all to be ready for agitation against government’: Prachanda

Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Coordinator of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said all are preparing for protest against the government.

Addressing the first unity gathering and training program underway in Dhangadhi, he said that the need for agitation has arisen.

“The squatters’ movement taking place from east to west is not spontaneous. Prachanda said that the government has committed atrocities on the poor and faceless people living at the border by deciding to impose tax on goods worth more than a hundred rupees from India.

He said that the present government is also interfering in the judiciary.

“The government is wielding swords against the democratic rights of student unions and troy unions,” he said, adding, “We are preparing all political parties, civil society and the general public to protest against this.” ’

Dahal, Madhav Kumar Nepal, Narayan Kaji Shrestha, Bhim Rawal and Ranjit Shrestha were also present in the programme. They have returned after the program today.
