Kathmandu. Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) lawmaker Gyan Bahadur Shahi has announced his resignation from the post of lawmaker if he had consumed even a drop of alcohol in his body.

Speaking in the House of Representatives meeting on Monday, MP Shahi made the announcement saying that misleading allegations were being spread against him.

He said that he was accused of saying anything under the influence of alcohol and getting obscene videos.

The first Prime Minister of Nepal, Bhimsen Thapa, said that he committed suicide by slitting his throat due to false and misleading information.

“I stand in this parliament today to give myself a litmus test. He also urged a team of doctors from the parliament to examine every part of his body.

Standing on the rostrum of this parliament as a witness to the whole country, I would like to appeal to the honorable speaker and the entire parliament as a member of the House of Representatives. A team of health workers should be deployed,” said Shahi, adding, “Let a team of doctors examine every part of my body.” My blood should be tested from skin to skin. I am ready to resign from the post of MP if even a drop of alcohol has been used in my body from birth till now.
