Kathmandu. Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal has said that preparations have been made to digitize the past parliamentary documents.

Addressing a program organized to launch the test run of the digital parliament platform on Wednesday, he said the federal parliament would be made technology-friendly.

“We are searching for old data of Nepal’s parliamentary history and as long as we find that data, we will try to digitize it and incorporate it all in it,” he said. ’

He also set a long-term goal to prepare the Archive so that the country’s parliamentary history could be explored and studied even after 500 years.

The audio and video clips of lawmakers delivered by lawmakers in the meeting of the parliament would also be kept as a safe record, he added.

He also stressed the need to move ahead to make not only the federal parliament but also the service delivery of the executive, judiciary and federal, provincial and local governments citizen-oriented and technology-friendly.

According to him, digital transformation should be pursued with the objective of strengthening citizens’ trust in the state, leadership, employees and media.
