Kathmandu. The price of cooking LP gas has decreased due to the obstruction of the road in Krishnabhir area.
When the main highway was closed due to the floods, the traders had increased the price of gas due to the increase in the transportation fare due to the import of gas using alternative routes. Now, with the resumption of the road in Krishnabhir, the price of gas has also decreased.
Shiva Prasad Ghimire, former president of Nepal LP Gas Industry Association, said that the price has been reduced after the Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) issued DO for Kathmandu.
“Earlier, the price of LPG had increased due to the hike in transportation fare due to the closure of the main road and transportation through alternative routes,” Ghimire said, “The price of LPG has decreased again after the opening of the Krishna Bhir road and the arrival of gas bullets started coming in.” ’
Earlier, the price was increased by adjusting the fare of up to Rs 105.38 per cylinder while transporting using long and alternative routes. Now the old price will be Rs 2060 per cylinder.
The country was divided into three zones and gas was being distributed, but till now the work was being done by the PADO of the Terai region. Now PADO has been issued for Kathmandu and Dhading as well.
Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) Spokesperson Manoj Kumar Thakur has said that the PADO has already been issued to import gas for the Kathmandu Valley. With the issuance of the PADO, consumers will now get gas at the old price.
