KATHMANDU: Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Sobita Gautam has said that the excitement of Nepali cricket has reached a new height with the third edition of Nepal Premier League (NPL).
Prior to the tournament, Minister Gautam said that Nepali cricket enthusiastism has taken a new height and NPL is a beautiful amalgamation of Nepali talent, capability of private sector and national unity.
“With the third edition of the Nepal Premier League starting from today, the excitement of Nepali cricket is taking a new height. The NPL is a beautiful combination of Nepali talent, the strength of the private sector and national unity. ’
The third edition of the NPL is starting from today at the Tribhuvan University Ground. Lumbini Lions and Far-Western Royals will compete in the opening match. The month-long tournament will feature a gathering of Nepali and well-known foreign players.
Minister Gautam said that NPL is a flight of dreams to bring the hidden talents in the nooks and corners of Nepal on the same ground with world-class players.
“This platform that brings together the hidden talents of Nepal alongside world-class players will make the future of Nepali cricket bright, boost the confidence of thousands of youths and give a new flight to their dreams.” ’
Minister Gautam said that NPL is an excellent example of how the private sector can transform potential into industry, talent into opportunity and sports into national celebration if the government creates appropriate environment.
She also extended best wishes to all the teams, players, organizers and all those involved in this campaign.
