Half-cylinder gas to be sold from Friday

Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Nepal Oil Corporation Limited (NOC) has decided to sell cooking gas (LPG) cylinders half full to manage supply.

Issuing a press release on Thursday, the NOC said that 7.1 kg LP gas will be sold at Rs 955 per cylinder from today until further notice.

“In view of the current situation, L. P. In order to systematize the supply and distribution system of cooking gas and to facilitate the availability of gas as per the demand of the general public, the NOC has decided to import 7.1 kg of LPG cylinder to be effective from 2082 and 11 and 29 until further notice. Since it has been decided to sell gas at half price of Rs 955 per cylinder, the general consumers have decided to sell LP accordingly. P. We are requested to purchase gas,” the statement said.

According to the NOC, the demand for cooking gas has been high in the Kathmandu Valley since the last two to three months. Meanwhile, the war in the Middle East has affected the supply of petroleum products and LP gas worldwide.

According to the NOC, the tendency to store more LP gas has increased in Nepal as well after the news was disseminated that general consumers in India, which supplies LP gas to Nepal, are facing problems in getting gas.

The statement said, “The corporation has been regularly supplying L.C. as per the demand. It is well known that the demand for LPG has been high in the Kathmandu Valley for the past two to three months. Meanwhile, due to the war in the Middle East, petroleum products and LP products are increasing. Gas supplies are being affected globally. ’

NOC Spokesperson Manoj Thakur urged the general public to purchase LP gas only as per the need.
