Results of 31 constituencies declared: RSP won in 22 constituencies, NC in 5, CPN in 2, UML in 1 and independent candidate in 1

KATHMANDU — The counting of votes for the upcoming elections to the House of Representatives (HoR) has been declared in 30 constituencies so far. According to the latest Election Commission data, the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has won in 22 constituencies. Nepali Congress has won in 5 seats, CPN (Maoist Center) in 2 constituencies, CPN (UML) in 1 seat and independent candidates in 1 seat. The candidates of the RSP are ahead in the counting of votes. The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is leading in 94 constituencies, NC in 10, UML in 12, NCP in 11, Labour Culture Party in four and RPP in 1 constituency.

Rabi Lamichhane has been elected from Chitwan constituency-2 for the third time. Lamichhane garnered 54,402 votes. His nearest rival was NC’s Mina Kharel who got 14,564 votes and CPN-UML’s Shamin Ghimire got 6,992 votes.

2. Rukesh Ranjit – Prem Suwal of Nepal Workers and Peasants Party won from Bhaktapur-1 with 33,436 votes while Prem Suwal of Nepal Workers and Peasants Party got 28,147 votes.

Sunil KC has been elected from Kathmandu-2 with 34,238 votes. His closest rival was NC’s Kabir Sharma who got 8,874 votes.

Pramod Kumar Mahato has been elected from Mahottari-1 with 34,636 votes. His nearest rival was left alliance’s Narayan Kaji Shrestha who got 12,624 votes.

Dhananjay Regmi has been elected from Syangja-1 with 29,071 votes. His nearest rival was NC’s Bharat Raj Dhakal who got 18,857 votes.

6. Suresh Kumar Chaudhary has been elected from Banke-1 with 52,792 votes. His nearest rival was NC’s Narayan Prasad Goudel who got 15,301 votes.

Khagendra Sunar has been elected from Banke-3 with 29,551 votes. His nearest rival was left alliance’s Narayan Kaji Shrestha who got 19,615 votes.

8. Kanhaiya Baniya won from Rupandehi-4 with 28,066 votes. CPN-UML’s Pramod Kumar Yadav got 20,262 votes.

9. Rubina Acharya – NC’s Dr. Shekhar Koirala has been defeated. Acharya garnered 55,513 votes while Koirala garnered only 12,850 votes.

10. DP Aryal has been elected in Kathmandu-9 with 35,093 votes. NC’s Nanu Maya Bastola garnered 5,460 votes.

11. Manish Jha has been elected from Dhanusha-3 while Bimalendra Nidhi of Nepali Congress has been defeated. Jha garnered 43,142 votes while Nidhi garnered 15,992 votes.

12. Santosh Rajbanshi – Gururaj Ghimire of Nepali Congress was defeated in Morang-4. Rajbanshi garnered 40,833 votes while Ghimire garnered 12,818 votes.

13. Bina Gurung was elected from Kaski-3 while Manoj Gurung of Nepali Congress was defeated. Bina bagged 37,750 votes while Manoj bagged 12,780 votes.

14. Pradip Bista: Himal Karki of Nepali Congress was defeated in Kathmandu-10. Bista garnered 37,469 votes while Karki garnered 8,100 votes.

15. Uttam Prasad Poudel: Rashmi Acharya of CPN-UML was defeated in Kaski-2. Paudel garnered 31,911 votes while Acharya garnered 7,493 votes.

16. In Kathmandu-5, NC’s Pradip Poudel and UML’s Ishwar Pokharel were defeated. Pokharel garnered 30,737 votes while Poudel received 9,159 votes and Pokharel received 4,701 votes.

17. In Kathmandu-4, Sachin Timilsina of Nepali Congress and Rajan Bhattarai of CPN-UML were defeated. Pukar got 29,242 votes, Sachin got 8,824 votes and Bhattarai got 5,733 votes.

18. Ganesh Parajuli has been elected from Kathmandu-7 with 27,805 votes.

19. Rajunath Pandey – Kulman Ghising, chairman of Ujjyalo Nepal Party, was defeated in Kathmandu-3. Pandey of Rastriya Samajwadi Party garnered 18,757 votes while Ghising garnered 11,171 votes.

20. Biraj Bhakta Shrestha has been elected from Kathmandu-8. He garnered 24,592 votes while his nearest rival Suman Sayami of Nepal Communist Party got 3,217 votes.

21. Shishir Khanal has been elected from Kathmandu-6. Khanal got 27,719 votes while his nearest rival Krishna Baniya Chhetri of Nepali Congress got 6,647 votes.

22. Ranju Neupane won from Kathmandu-1 with 15,455 votes. His nearest rival was NC’s Prabal Thapa who got 6,364 votes.

Congress

Santosh Subba of Nepali Congress has been elected from Tehrathum with 11,561 votes. His nearest rival was left alliance’s Narayan Kaji Shrestha who got 10,682 votes.

In Dailekh-1, Basana Thapa has been elected with 12,372 votes. His nearest rival was UML’s Rabindra Raj Sharma who got 11,796 votes.

In Rasuwa-1, Mohan Acharya has been elected with 10,656 votes. His nearest contender was Basanta Bhatta of Rastriya Samajwadi Party who got 5,571 votes.

Yogesh Gauchan Thakali has been elected from Mustang with 3,307 votes. His nearest rival CPN-UML’s Indradhar Bista garnered 1,803 votes.

In Manang, Tek Bahadur Gurung garnered 2,415 votes while his rival Yashoda Gurung (Subedi) of NCP got 454 votes.

Mahendra Bahadur Shahi has been elected from Kalikot with 11,338 votes.TAG_CLOSE_strong_65 TAG_OPEN_strong_65 His closest contender was NC’s Nabindra Shahi who got 10,352 votes.

2. Former Prime Minister and coordinator of the Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) Pushpa Kamal Dahal has been elected from Rukum (East). He garnered 10,240 votes while CPN-UML’s Leela Mani Gautam garnered 3,462 votes.

In Banke-2, Mohammad Ishtiyak Rai has been elected with 24,647 votes. Likewise, Bibek Kumar Shrestha of Rastriya Janata Party (RSP) garnered 18,679 votes.

1. Mahabir Pun has been elected as an independent candidate from Myagdi. He garnered 22,850 votes while UML’s Hari Krishna Shrestha garnered 7,919 votes.
